Easter!
Bunnies, bright colored Easter eggs, shiny new shoes and new outfits. Egg hunts, marsh-mellow bunnies, large family dinners…oh yea, almost forgot…Jesus!

the most important and oldest festival of the Christian Church, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ and held (in the Western Church) between March 21 and April 25, on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the northern spring equinox.
Just as Christmas is to celebrate His birth, Easter is to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Over time these holidays have become commercialized and we have been distracted. What an opportunity we have today.
This Easter, due to “the silent enemy” of Covid-19, the distractions have been lifted. Most of us are limited to our homes and occasional trips to the supermarket for provisions and of course a mad search for Toilet Paper. But how can we protect our homes, marriages, children, families, finances, careers, and our futures?
We are “smack dab” in the middle of Passover. (April 8 – April 16) Many are under a “shelter in place”. A stay at home order similar to the one given to the Israelites direct from God. During this time, they were instructed to smear the blood from an unblemished lamb or goat over their door posts to protect them. God was going to strike dead the firstborn male of every man and beast in Egypt. Only the blood would protect them, allowing death to “Passover” them.
“The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”
Exodus 12:12
Coincidence that we too are to “stay inside-at home” during Passover and Easter celebrations?
Today, Jesus is our sacrificial lamb. He took the place on the altar for our sins. His blood covers us if we accept him as our Lord and Savior.
We can “cover with His blood” our homes, marriages, children, families, finances, careers, and our futures. We can put Jesus at the center of our lives, assuring us of an eternity in Heaven. We have removed all distractions and can focus on Jesus!
I am believing that the “End of Passover”, is the beginning of the end of this virus.
There is “Power in The Blood of Jesus.”
